I thought Ieyasu was quite the character in Nightshade and despite this being a “crack” scenario it works well with his depicted personality. And poor Gekkamaru having to figure out what to do this whole time pulled at Ieyasu’s whims - it certainly highlighted the difference between Ieyasu & Hanzo vs Enju & Gekkamaru naturally through actions instead of merely words
Hello, secret person, thank you so much! What a cute and fun fic. There is not enough of Ieyasu in canon so I really enjoyed reading about him teasing the shinobi and making a joke out of Gekkamaru.
I found it also funny that he refused to eat the meal he cooked himself, claiming that his palate was more refined than that lol. I also found him teasing Hanzo about the calligraphy super funny, too.
While it is definitely not possible in canon for him to show up to cook for them, everybody acts in character in this fic, which makes this whole impossible scenario even funnier. I definitely can imagine this as a drama CD released officially.
