a) this is a delightful detail
b) my mind misplaced the 'x' at first glance, meaning I misread 'holding Quaxly securely in his arms' as 'holding Quaxly sexually in his arms' and had to do a double-take
Really enjoyed reading this! I love seeing Jecht reluctantly starting to warm to his Pokémon, and I snorted aloud at “Super effective, loser,” said Jecht smugly.
