Wow wow wow this is so lovely!! One of the beautiful things about these two is how much they seem to have in common, and how they sort of seem to fundamentally understand each other right out of the gate, and I feel like this fic captures that same feeling so well. It has that same bittersweet twinge to it to, UGH my heart could burst.
Also, “contagious delight” is such an apt phrase to use in reference to Tidus and brought the biggest smile to my face.

Yuna!! Her curiosity for the world she’s fighting to protect really shines through here, and with how much the game focuses on Tidus’s side of their love story, it’s really nice to see it

Ah, this is lovely - and an angle that I'd never thought of before. But Spira is new and unfamiliar to Yuna in a way that it isn't for the others, except for Tidus, and this is another thing they have in common. I love the idea of the world that they're journeying to save being part of the thing that brings them together. And the line about Tidus' "contagious delight" is perfect. He's such a goober, I love him! <3
Ooh, this is lovely and insightful. I never thought about it before, but you’re right that for all Yuna is traveling to her death, this is a journey through a world that’s new to her in a way that it isn’t to most of the others, and that’s another thing she and Tidus have in common. I love the thought of them bonding through mutual delight in Spira, and He was the light behind her smile is a beautiful conclusion.
