This page contains references for Auron and Braska in case I commission any artists to draw one or both of them for me! 😊

If you’re familiar with the source material, please note that I am requesting Auron’s young appearance, i.e. how he looked at the time of Braska’s pilgrimage.
If you’re not familiar with the game, most depictions of Auron show his older form (wears a collar and dark glasses, left arm tucked into his robe), but I’m interested in his younger version, which is less commonly seen.
I have specific opinions about Braska’s hair, for which there are visual references below.

Hair neatly tied into a ponytail, which I imagine as coming down to about the bottom of his ribcage. Some strands (symmetrically) escape at the front.
Angry slanty eyebrows.
Quite long eyelashes.
Big wide nose.
Fairly full lips.

And here’s how he looked in a now dead mobile game, which is possibly the only other detailed official picture of this version of him in existence (open the image in a new tab to make it a bit bigger):

Light brown eyes.
Gauntlet worn on only his right hand, with the sleeve tucked into it.
Robe worn off his left shoulder.
Pretty muscular (he carries a big sword around all day).
He has a jug of sake (?) attached to the right side of his robe.
His trousers are tucked into his boots.

Here are some more references for his clothes from official images in different styles. I’ve removed parts that relate to his older appearance specifically (although the tucked-in left arm is inaccurate for what I’m requesting).

I’ve posted closeups of some details of Auron’s in-game model, including his beads, cuirass, face, trousers and boots, and side profile here.

In personality terms, he’s very serious and rule-driven, and has quite a high opinion of himself. He’s extremely loyal and he gets angry easily. I associate him with fire, the colours red and black, daisies, coffee, the sea, leather, swords, and strength.

Thin, dark eyebrows.
Quite small eyes.
Prominent cheekbones.
Pale skin.
Fairly narrow nose.
Quite thin lips.
The blue things that come down in front are parts of his headdress, not his hair. His hair is entirely covered when the headdress is on.
The ends of his sleeves are very wide.
He wears the same bracelet on both wrists, although one of them is obscured by the very long sleeve of his robe here.
No wedding ring despite being a widower.
Panels of his robe drape onto the ground and cover his feet (my headcanon is that he wears walking sandals).

Braska is serious, melancholy, thoughtful, and simultaneously caring and self-absorbed. I associate him with fire, the colours red and blue, chrysanthemums, death, tea, and religious imagery.

Here’s a picture showing their relative heights; Braska’s eyes appear to be about level with Auron’s mouth (given that Auron is inclining his head). Braska probably looks a bit taller than he really is because of his headdress.

(this is the only time we see them standing next to each other in canon 😭)

Here’s my writeup of cosplaying as both of them; the Auron material relates to his older version so some of it won’t be relevant, and some of the costume details are missing/inaccurate, but it could still be useful?
I made both characters, along with their “friend” Jecht, in a 2024 game with very detailed character creation and while the clothes aren’t right, the facial details are mostly true to how I imagine them.

In terms of their dynamic as a pair/couple, Auron is the protector (see here for how I see their sexual dynamic). Braska is very spiritual and not a particularly practical person; Auron is much more down-to-earth. They both care a lot about each other, but Braska doesn’t realise how deep Auron’s feelings for him are.
