Hello, I’m Mez! It’s my real name, sort of. I’ve been a regular visitor to the internet since 2004 when I discovered the delights of Neopets and mousebreaker.com; if you’ve seen me around before, it may have been on (in roughly chronological order) deviantART, LiveJournal, The Student Room, Tumblr, Kongregate, In Depth Bants, AO3 exchanges, Dreamwidth, or Discord, under a variety of usernames. But now I’m mostly just here. 
About me
I try not to share the details of my irl sona online, but here’s the basic stuff:
- I was born in the early nineties.
- Since 2016, I’ve been living in Northern Ireland. I grew up in a different part of the UK.
- I am a native speaker of English and one other language, which is the source of this site’s URL.
- My exposure to media usually consists of books (fiction and non-) and (usually Japanese) video games. I don’t watch many films and we don’t have a TV.
- I’m a bit of a weeb (like a 4 on the weeb scale) but embarrassingly, I also really like France.

Feel free to interact with me regardless of whether we’ve done so before; I don’t consider myself to have online friends, but a wee chat about a mutual interest is nice. I don't wish to police who is allowed to interact with me and there is no need for people who do so to share my exact combination of political beliefs. But obviously if someone suggests during the course of our interaction that a minoritised group should be harmed, belittled, or denied their fundamental rights, I probably won't want to talk to them.

Verifying my identity
I own and administer the praze.net domain. All content on this domain is authored by me with the exception of the git.praze.net and kes.praze.net subdomains, where a couple of accounts belong to very close associates.
On other domains
Outside the praze.net domain, the following accounts belong to me:
